OPEN LETTER TO THE EXECUTIVE MINISTER OF THE IGLESIA NI CRISTO AND HIS FAMILY

Brother Eduardo, Sis Tenny and children, dear beloved brethren:
We your fellow brethren inside the Iglesia Ni Cristo are going through sorrow and confusion regarding news that is spreading around that your family has had division for 5 years since the death of Bro. Erdy.
The news is spreading that the division of the family is because the current administration is doing things against the teachings of God and that there is corruption going on in the administration led by Bro Eduardo.
Hopefully our open letter to you will not go unnoticed. We have been writing constantly for a long time but we were informed that our letters aren’t reaching you. That is why we are using this internet as a medium to reach you because we no longer see you at any activities of the Church. Is it true that Ka Eduardo is forbidding you to be at these events because you don’t agree with the corruption happening in the Church?
IT’S SO HARD TO CELEBRATE THE CENTENNIAL OF THE CHURCH IF THESE QUESTIONS LINGER IN OUR MINDS. WHERE ARE THE CHILDREN OF KA ERDY? WHERE IS KA TENNY? IS IT TRUE THAT KA EDUARDO IS GOING AGAINST THE TEACHINGS OF GOD? IS IT TRUE THAT CORRUPTION IS RAMPANT IN HIS ADMINISTRATION?
IF THIS IS TRUE, WE FIND THIS VERY DISTURBING THAT THIS KIND OF SCANDAL HAS NEVER HAPPENED IN THE HISTORY OF THE CHURCH SINCE ITS REESTABLISHMENT BY KA FELIX MANALO TIL THE TIME OF KA ERDY UNTIL NOW.
HOPE YOU DON’T ALLOW THIS CORRUPTION TO GO ON IN YOUR ADMINISTRATION, OUR BELOVED BRO. EDUARDO.
WE DON’T SEE YOUR MOTHER AND SIBLINGS WHICH IS WHY WE ARE SO PUZZLED AT YOUR ACTIONS AND FIND IT OBVIOUS THAT YOU ARE AVOIDING THEM.
It is with a heavy heart and we find it difficult to truly celebrate the Centennial and the Church’s achievements when we hear about the deep division happening in the family. We would be truly happy to see you united and in harmony because we are hoping you are an example of what a Christian family should be. We are affected by this division because we are supposed to be one and united in the Church.
It truly hurts us to read about the division between you and your wife are having against your mother and siblings.
More then anything, it truly disappoints us to hear about the corruption happening in the Church that is being lead by Glicerio Santos, his son Sergie Santos, and a number of high ranking ministers that involve the Church funds and the monetary transactions involving the projects of the Church.
We hope you don’t disregard this message of ours. It has been the center of discussion and many brethren are talking about this amongst themselves from different countries and many provinces in the Philippines. If you don’t address this issue, scandal in the church will grow and will bear more talking and division among the brethren especially when we see the corruption growing and the obvious division in your family.
We would like to hear you explain yourself regarding these issues because they deeply sadden and worry us brethren. If this is not true, we want to hear your voice regarding this matter through a Church circular. If we hear that these issues are resolved, it will reassure us and strengthen us because the troubling news weakens our faith. We are hoping that if this isn’t true that we will see your family united helping one another serve God. Eversince Ka Erdy passed away we haven’t seen you all together like when he was alive.
Hopefully you understand why we can’t help but be affected by this situation because the family of our leader serves as an inspiration to our families since the time of Bro Felix till the time of Ka Erdy. We aren’t used to hearing such things that the family of our leader is in disarray. From a common point of view, this can be classified as part of your personal life and that we have no business in it since we are not members of your family. But, any leader of an institution, most especially a leader of the true Church, the private life isn’t private . It is important to us that we see you practice what you preach. How can someone teach about not stealing if he himself is stealing? That’s why the question remains in our minds is does a true messenger of God and Executive Minister ever shown that his family all divided? Is there a verse in the bible how to distinguish a true leader or a false teacher? What happened to those Executive Ministers or leaders of God’s nation that didn’t meet God’s expectations? Did God teach what would happen if the Leader of God’s nation himself was the one to go against His teachings and isn’t being a good example? What will the members of the Church of Christ do if they see their very own Executive minister not obeying even just one of the commandments of God? We remember what Ka Erdy said in his speech during the 75th Anniversary of the Church in front of millions of people. “The INC office is open.. and if anyone sees any document selling the properties of the Church, then let’s separate.” That’s how brave and transparent Ka Erdy was. Another angle of Ka Erdy’s message is it’s possible that the church will fall into division if the Executive Minister does something wrong. What will God do if this happens? Do you think that disaccord in your family is a private, separate matter that doesn’t have anything to do with the performance of your duty to God? Isn’t it that when a Parent, ( a father or mother) in a family has a duty in the church they are taken out of their duty if they can’t lead their family properly? Isn’t it that one quality of a church officer is to lead your family properly?
That’s why we have this open letter to you to put an end to all the news going around because these issues confuse us. Aside from all the news spreading around about these matters, we are also wondering why all of KA Erdy’s children were removed from their duties in the church and we don’t see them in your administration when they used to be some of the most trusted of our Beloved Bro. Erano G. Manalo till the day he passed.
To the wife of Ka Erdy, our beloved Ka Tenny: Why do we never see you at any of the Church events? We never see you with our Executive Minister? Is it true that your security was removed? Is it true that Ka Babylynn, the wife of Ka Eduardo is persecuting you?
To all the children of Ka Erdy: Ka Angel Manalo, Ka Mark Manalo, Ka Lottie Hemedez, Ka Eileen Alcantara, and all your families: Did you do something wrong against Ka Eduardo? Is it true you aren’t united with him and don’t agree with the way he is administering the Church?
To Ka Babylynn ( Ka Eduardo’s wife): Is it true that you keep meddling in administering the Church? Is it true that you are the reason why there is division among Ka Eduardo and his mother and siblings? Is it true that you are now in charge of the Security Officials of the Church? Is it true that you are resentful towards Ka Tenny and her children?
To Our Executive Minister:
You mentioned in your sermon in London that there are many people talking bad about the Church. Is the schism in your family a part of this? Did you take their security away? Why do we never see them at any of the church events? Did they wrong you in any way that they were taken out of their offices in the Church? For example, Ka Beth Manalo replaced Ka Pilar. Is it true you took her out of her duty?
Is it true that you took Ka Bien Manalo out of his office as Department Head of Engineering that was so trusted by Bro Erdy? Did he wrong you in any way?
Is it true that you forbade your mother and siblings to visit the grave site of Bro. Erdy? Is it true that you didn’t attend the funeral of your Brother in law, the husband of Ka Lottie Hemedez? That you didn’t send flowers and that you only found out he died when he was already buried? Is it true that Ka Jun Santos and his son, Sergie stole from the offerings of the church through the various projects of the Church?
Is it true that you are ignoring the reports of corruption going on in the Church?
Is it true that when Bro Erdy was still alive but getting weak that the Filipino American bem students formed a group called the STF because they wanted to replace Ka Erdy and change some doctrines of the church? and that this angered Ka Erdy and became the reason why he dismantled the STF organization and expelled some of these STF members including one of your son in law? Is it true that when you became the Executive Minister that you brought back the STF organization and all the BEM students who were expelled?
Our Beloved Brethren,
All these questions were formed from all the things we been reading concerning the current situation of the Administration lead by Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo. We have never experienced this from the time of the Messenger, to the time of Ka Erdy, which is why we are very concerned about the things we are hearing. What is clear to us is that Ka Tenny and her children are not at any of the Church events. Aside from this, we don’t know the truth of the stories circulating.
Hopefully, you don’t allow this confusion to remain regarding these matters. Please don’t allow our minds to be confused and be filled with worry and sadness. We are hoping you strengthen us and make this sadness go away from the rumors we are hearing. It is hard to truly celebrate the Centennial of the Church if the family of the Executive Minister is in discord.
It’s hard to set this issue aside when it comes to our service to the Lord because the family of the Sugo and all the members of the church are like one big family. If there is no unity in the the family, this will not do any good to us members inside the Church and the division this will cause. Most especially it’s not right that there are people who are stealing and doing wrong things that are done by those who belong in the Administration of the Church of Christ.
Hope you will understand that we used social media to communicate this to you, for this is the only way we are sure that this message will reach you. For a long time, we have been writing the Administration concerning this matter and we are told that these letters are being hidden from the Executive Minister and Ka Tenny’s family.
We also hope you understand we can not put our names for the sake of our membership in the Church and peace in our lives.
We pray that that our Lord God inspire the Executive Minister, the family of His messenger, the whole administration of the INC, and all the officers and members around the world. May God guide us all and may He be with us until we die or until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is hard to celebrate the Centennial if we don’t see your family whole.
Beloved Bro. Eduardo, hope you can make the family united, in the way the Sugo maintained unity and in the way KA Erdy maintained unity within the family, hope you can continue that. If you allow this division to continue in your administration, the Church will experience division like how Ka Erdy forewarned when he was still alive.
Ka Eduardo, Ka Tenny, and children of Ka Erdy, we we are hoping you don’t disregard this open letter. We will wait for your answer, and if we don’t get our answer we will wait for the time we can ask you personally.
We are having a hard time focusing on celebrating if we we are always thinking of the division of the family because of all the corruption happening in the Church.
We are having a hard time and this is causing us grief. Hope you don’t disregard this letter because it will just worsen the division in the Church and hope the worsening rumors stop. Hopefully this will be the answer to the 99th anniversary of the church.
If this doesn’t reach you and our messages to you keep getting hindered, we will make a way to find out the truth and put an end to the anomalies if we find out that what we hear is true.
